Almond Blossom
When you're turned away
There's nothing left to face
But the silhouette that you create
And maybe it's the tide
That brings it all inside
Or maybe it's the moonlight in your eyes
See the world around you
Doesn't move without you
When the waves of gold
Are spilled across the floor
And lines of joy are painted on your face
It's something to behold
The cheering birds agree
And everything around is in it's place
Everything around you
Has a place around you
I went out yesterday
I found the only thing I came for
A needle in the hay
I counted all the sand on the shore
Wishing on a garden
Til the almonds blossom
There may be a time
There's nothing left to find
But we'll turn the world up on it's head
And if we're getting tired
And everything's on fire
We'll just fall asleep until we're dead
Like the leaves around us
Dancing down to ashes
I looked up yesterday
I counted all the stars I could find
We made it to today
Tomorrow we'll see what forever feels like
Wishing on a garden
Where the almonds blossom
There's nothing left to face
But the silhouette that you create
And maybe it's the tide
That brings it all inside
Or maybe it's the moonlight in your eyes
See the world around you
Doesn't move without you
When the waves of gold
Are spilled across the floor
And lines of joy are painted on your face
It's something to behold
The cheering birds agree
And everything around is in it's place
Everything around you
Has a place around you
I went out yesterday
I found the only thing I came for

I counted all the sand on the shore
Wishing on a garden
Til the almonds blossom
